Happy birthday, Second Chance Charms!
And also, happy birthday to me!
When I was six, I marched into the classroom and proudly announced that it was my dad's birthday. When asked how old he was, I said I didn't know the number, but that it was "halfway to 90."
Friends, today I am halfway to 90.
And today, Second Chance Charms is officially launched into the world! The very best gift you could give me is to purchase it, borrow on Kindle Unlimited, or review.

I love you, Charlie. Make good choices.
To celebrate, I have put Magician First Class on sale! So if you haven't read that yet and would like some community-focused urban fantasy shenanigans with a nerdy heroine starting a romance with an adorable incubus, now's the time to grab it.
Spring is springing up all over the place after our recent cold snap, and I am eyeing impractical cottons and flimsy rayons and sundress patterns. I'm going to finish all my sewing for my Ephemera Kickstarter backers, and then it's PRETTY FROCK TIME!
I have also taken a break from Love at Third Bite, the next Sparks and Recreation book, to start a prequel novella for newsletter subscribers, exploring Charlie's sometimes-referenced adventure in the Butler library before she joined the rec center crew. It is currently titled The Author is Undead, a literary joke that makes me cackle, but may not make it into the final version. We'll see!
Wherever you are, I hope you are well, that you have people to care for and to care for you, and that you have something delicious to read.
Love, Kate.
